Rowing?

A new found love, ok ok, it’s not as amazing as the image above and it’s not exactly in the water either. It’s on solid ground in the gym. So not as exciting as first thought. 

I needed to incorporate more cardio into my routine. At first I was sticking to bike, treadmill and occasionally the stepper (this machine will bet the death of me). But last week I decided to do the rowing machine; something which I also hated. My first try I did ages ago if I can remember was 1000m in about six minutes and whatever seconds. Maybe even seven minutes. I’d stop and takes rests, be totally out of breath but now this was my first result. 1000m for 5:00.7 so much improvement from the first time. About two months previous. 

A week later I then decided to try again but this time push myself even more and better myself. 1000m for 4:51.5 amazingly better. Yes it’s not amazing to some people and nor is it close to the world record but to me this is my record. This is me showing myself I can improve, I can push myself and my failure is not what I think it is. I can do better and get better results. I’ll keep trying to get better result. Watch this space. 

Ladies lift also…

First gym session of 2017, I know I know a little delayed with it being the 3rd and all but it’s the only time I wasn’t busy. 

Somewhere down the line I want to be a power lifter so my personal trainer has given me a plan to start to get myself ready, not only are we lifting awesome weights we are also learning the perfect technique. 

This is my work out for today –

Obviously I’ve filled out myself what weights and what I achieved. Pretty much did it all. Not without complaining. For the last two months I’ve slowly been building my fitness, however you know what it’s like, whole knew programme and it feels like you are back to square one. Even typing this is killing my arms, but I’m so ready to become even better. Just hit two months in, I may have only lost a stone but by goodness I can already feel the benefits. Less fatigued, loser clothes and a boost in confidence. A little video of my warm up leg press. ​

Not much but I will start recording my workouts. Let me know if this is something you may be interested in. May even start a you tube channel. If you read this let me know.

Oh hey!

The introduction post; it’s an unwritten law that we write these, or even a brief explanation of what this is all about. 
New year, new blog oh and new me… blah blah blah. Yeah, we’ve heard it all before, I hear those whispers, this isn’t a new me though. I’ve been on my journey since 1st November 2016, it’s almost been two months and now I’ve decided to blog about my highs and lows, my achievements and failures. I’m going to show you what it is like to be 260lbs and to start a fitness journey, it’s been so hard but totally worth it, I’m currently 248lbs with a loss of 12lbs, not a lot but I am well on my way to becoming so much healthier.
